How Does It Work?

A chemical peel is a simple technique used to improve the skin as a whole. It is the accelerated renewal of layers closest to the surface and the repair of the deeper levels of skin. Procedure is similar to that of a Facial.

Types of Peels

Superficial Peels: Most popular peel which does not penetrate the dermis. Also known as your lunch time peel. Results are usually over a gradual period of time.

Medium Depth Peels: Physical peeling can be seen but is not painful or sensitive, peeling usually last between 3 – 5 days, the more you moisturise the less peeling you will see.

Deep Peels: Also known as total facial resurfacing, peeling may last for up to 3 weeks and can be extremely sensitive and red.

Indications

Acne, Pigmentation, Scarring, Lines/Wrinkles, Dehydration, Dull looking skin

Contraindications

Certain Medications like cortisone and isotretinoin, Wounds, Herpes, Skin Cancers, Pregnancy, Breastfeeding

This may vary from person to person depending on whether Peel is Superficially, Medium, or Deep based.

There is no downtime for Superficial Peels and up to 3 weeks downtime for Deep Peels
